Experimenting with this song to reveal the process of the desire to have a "nuclear" family. I thought it was a good Fathers Day song too. If i were to have a dialogue about the illness within this song i would reflect on how the man wants very much to have a happy home and to father a child with someone who loves him. His wife who married him for position did so out of a need impressed upon her by the patriarchy. The man believing he was entitled to happiness and a beautiful young wife; now grieves the loss of a child he will never raise. So much that he hides his tears when he looks at other's fortune. Despite the privilege that goes unseen he suffers due to the will of the city state. The song was originally recorded and written by The Louvin Brothers 1956. The corresponding Tarot is the Knight of Swords.
